Goals: Creating and Achieving Them


Having goals is something we should all possess. Whether it is short term or long term we should always want to achieve our goals. They allow us to grow and achieve what we set out to do. Sometimes it may seem impossible to complete but if we maintain positivity and stay motivated we can do it. The one thing required to complete your goals is open-mindedness. It will allow you to see opportunities you may have previously ignored or felt you could not do.

Being open-minded means different things to each one of us.  For some, it’s just as it says being open to learning and understanding new ideas and experiences.  However, to others, it goes deeper meaning to not only be open to learn but to go a step further and experience these new things learned.  Change can be hard for some.  Being settled is comfortable.  No surprises or sudden problems.  However, with change comes slip-ups for some, that help you learn and better yourself.  Not only is it preparing you to better yourself, but it’s also preparing you to be able to pass it on to the next person and help them better themselves.  For me being open-minded hasn’t always been easy.  When I began my natural journey to healing I had no intention of teaching or helping others.  I was simply trying to find alternative treatments to medical issues I had that was disruptive to my life and causing me to be miserable and limited in what I could do.  However, as I learned new techniques to healing and making products to alleviate my discomfort I found others who were looking for relief too.  Many times when we’re going through something we think nobody can understand our pain.  However, that’s so untrue.  It’s just that we don’t meet others when we may be in the midst of our situation. Another reason we wouldn’t notice those who need help is because we are too caught up in our own problem at the time.  You may meet them or find out that they’ve experienced what you have experienced after you make it thru your tough situation. 

To live our life to the fullest and be happy we have to take every day as a chance to better ourselves. In order to do so we need to make goals, they can be long term or short term but it gives you something to work towards. Here we will discuss some ideas to get you in the right mindset and help you accomplish these goals you may have had and just haven’t acted on.


The best way to get started is by first doing your research. Whatever your goal is do the research to establish the steps that will be needed to complete your goal. If you want to make a change in your career, start off by figuring out what you are passionate about. We often do our best work on things we are passionate about. So whatever that is, go seek and find. Online courses are a great way to find and learn something you’re interested in. There are so many different courses to choose from at affordable prices. Write Down Plans

Get you a basic notebook or planner and start outlining what you want to do and then the steps that it will take to be completed. Next break down those steps in a timeline. Your span of time is up to you. Then break down the steps into daily tasks. This will allow you to get started on your goal and remove any doubts from your mind because you are positively sure this is what you want to do and this is what you are working towards.

Social Sharing

Share your goal with a friend or someone who can cheer you on and give you that motivation to go on and complete your goal. If you don’t have anyone to share it with turn to social media. There are many groups for different specialties and topics. Find one related to what your goal is and meet other like-minded people who may be able to give you some insights on what to do.


Affirmations are a great way to stay positive and get your mind on what it is you are trying to do. So each day think of an affirmation that relates to you and what you are doing: for example

Today I will be successful in _____

I can be ______

I will accomplish______ today.

Say them in your head and out loud throughout the day. When you get deterred and frustrated say the affirmation to get your mind back on the track of “I can” and “I will” thinking. For more ideas on Affirmations go to Jack Canfield Page.

Love Your No’s

Learn to accept the word no. Whether it’s from someone you are trying to do business with or a friend. Those no’s are only making you stronger and preparing you for yes. Don’t take it personally, understand that what interest you do not interest some others. So leave the negatives and find those that will be for what you are doing.

Define your obstacles

Identify those obstacles that are holding you back. Then list actions that can be done to remove those obstacles. Patience will be your friend at this time because when we are trying to accomplish things it sometimes goes astray. So be prepared. Keep your focus on removing those obstacles and getting those goals accomplished.

Time To take Action

There’s no better time than now to start your journey to becoming the you that you want to be. So take your time and remember only you know what it is that you want. Be you and find what you are passionate about. I hope these tips are helpful to you and feel free to share with others.
